How to Clean Your Computer Mouse ?

Computer mouses are used more than any other component on computers. This is why they require more cleaning and extra TLC than other devices. If you notice your mouse slowing down, jolting in different directions, or not acting properly, then follow these simple steps to get it back and running fast and smooth!

Step1
Disconnect your mouse Disconnect your mouse DISCONNECT YOUR MOUSE: Shut down your computer and turn off the power. Reach around to the back of your computer tower and disconnect your mouse.

Read your manual first! Read your manual first! READ THE MANUFACTURER'S MANUAL: Read the manufacturer's manual that came with your computer's mouse before cleaning it for safety precautions. If you do not have a manual, skip to step 3.
Step3
Clean the mouse's ball Clean the mouse's ball OPEN THE MOUSE TO CLEAN IT: To clean your mouse properly open up the ball cover on the bottom of the mouse by twisting it in a counter clockwise direction. Remove the ball and set the ring aside. Clean the ball by using a alcohol wipe, then dry it with a cloth.
Step4
Clean the inside of the mouse Clean the inside of the mouse DUST THE INSIDES OF THE MOUSE: Remove the dust on the rollers by blowing compressed air inside the mouse. Use a cotton swab with alcohol if you still see any gunk or build up located in the mouse. Make sure you use a dabbing motion when preforming this method.
